About Us – solarnesthub’s Mission to Illuminate Pakistan
Founded in 2022 by renewable-energy pioneer Farhan Malik and electrical-engineering specialist Dr. Sana Rao, solarnesthub was born out of a shared vision to accelerate Pakistan’s transition to clean, resilient energy. Disheartened by frequent load shedding and rising grid instability, Farhan and Sana recognized that distributed solar power, combined with intelligent energy management, could revolutionize energy access from urban centers to remote villages. Beginning with a modest workshop in Lahore’s industrial zone, the founders assembled a team of passionate engineers, project managers, and solar technicians—many trained at top institutions such as NUST and UET—to develop turnkey solutions that address Pakistan’s unique climate, infrastructure, and consumer needs.
By mid-2022, solarnesthub expanded its footprint to Karachi, establishing a regional operations center that facilitated large-scale commercial installations for textile mills, corporate offices, and residential complexes. Drawing on Karachi’s advanced port logistics, we sourced high-efficiency monocrystalline panels, robust lithium-ion battery banks, and advanced hybrid inverters from globally recognized manufacturers. In early 2023, our Islamabad office opened, focusing on government projects, educational institutions, and rural electrification partnerships. In collaboration with local NGOs and microfinance institutions, solarnesthub launched pilot initiatives in Sindh and Balochistan, deploying solar home systems to off-grid communities and training local technicians, thereby empowering underserved populations with reliable power and economic opportunities.
At solarnesthub, our core philosophy revolves around three pillars: innovation, integrity, and impact. Before any project, our engineers conduct detailed site assessments—analyzing solar irradiation data, roof load capacities, and grid interconnection logistics—ensuring that every design maximizes energy yield and structural safety. We integrate AI-based energy modeling software that simulates system performance under seasonal variations and load profiles, providing clients with transparent projections of payback periods and long-term savings. Our installations adhere to rigorous quality standards: all mounting hardware is hot-dip galvanized for corrosion resistance, wiring follows NEC-equivalent local regulations, and every component is backstopped by comprehensive warranties. Following installation, we offer proactive maintenance plans, including quarterly panel cleaning, inverter diagnostics, and state-of-charge calibration for battery banks—guaranteeing optimal performance and longevity.
Beyond installations, solarnesthub is dedicated to community education and workforce development. We regularly host “Solar Saminars” at technical institutes—such as GIKI and PIEAS—offering workshops on PV system design, battery management, and solar economics. Our internship program places recent graduates in hands-on field roles, where they gain experience installing off-grid microgrids, troubleshooting inverter faults, and designing net-metering proposals. In 2023, solarnesthub partnered with the Alternative Energy Development Board (AEDB) to develop training curricula for rural women technicians, focusing on basic PV wiring skills, safety practices, and customer engagement. These initiatives not only build local technical capacity but also foster greater awareness of renewable energy’s transformative potential.
Since inception, solarnesthub has completed over 200 residential installations, ranging from 3 kW rooftop systems in Karachi’s suburbs to 30 kW grid-tied arrays on Lahore villas. Our commercial division has commissioned photovoltaic plants exceeding 500 kW, providing textile factories with daytime grid evacuation and nighttime battery support, markedly reducing diesel generator reliance. In the education sector, we have powered schools in remote Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with reliable solar microgrids, enabling uninterrupted e-learning sessions and community lighting. Our client satisfaction rate—measured via post-installation surveys—exceeds 95%, reflecting our commitment to transparency, reliability, and post-sales support.
Looking forward, solarnesthub aims to expand operations to Peshawar, Quetta, and Multan by late 2025, establishing regional satellite offices that replicate our turnkey approach. We are exploring integrated solutions such as agrivoltaics—combining crop cultivation beneath elevated panels—and solar rooftop EV chargers for Pakistan’s nascent electric-vehicle market. Through every endeavor, our mission remains steadfast: to empower Pakistani homes, businesses, and communities with clean, affordable, and resilient energy solutions. By partnering with solarnesthub, you join a movement that not only lowers your energy costs but also builds a sustainable energy legacy for future generations.
